The Fine China

I have a patient to thank for the title of this blog. I was seeing her at Christmas time and she brought me a card with a photo of her two lovely children on it explaining that they were the ones who had broken "the fine china". I laughed, but the description stuck with me.   Her analogy is a great description for what happens to a woman's downstairs area after having a baby. I have spent the last 8 years of my life working to help women repair "the fine china". I became a pelvic floor therapist in 2012 and I love my job. It is actually not a job, it is a passion. I find it very rewarding to be able to help people who are having issues with some of the most basic functions in life, such as urination, bowel movements and sexual intercourse. I've seen how difficulties in these areas can negatively affect a person's life and I like that I can help change that.  I am especially passionate about helping women after they have had a baby.
